The daughter of Zeus and Metis, Athena was the Greek goddess of wisdom, tactics and good counsel. Believed to be the protectress of the city of Athens, she is also the goddess of war, understood as the fight to achieve justice.
Greek mythology, with its legends, gods and heroes, continues to captivate us today. The wealth of its stories and its powerful symbolism are an endless source of inspiration for our artists.
Athena comes to life in our workshops thanks to this interpretation in white matte porcelain, decorated with ocher and golden lusters and with metallic whites in an iridescent finish. Accompanying the goddess is her faithful owl, the symbol of wisdom. This bird is portrayed in porcelain in great detail, posing on Athena’s shoulder and also etched in bas relief on the helmet, bracelet and leg guards.
In addition, etched on the protective shield is the head of Medusa, the gorgon who turned anyone who looked upon it into stone.
